With 20+ years experience in the nonprofit sector, Pommashea is an experienced Advancement executive with a history of delivering results.

Specializing in start-up, turnaround and revitalization business challenges in all areas of advancement (alumni relations, fund development, marketing and government relations), she has built Advancement teams in addition to leading several multi-million dollar campaigns.

Pommashea's blend of redefining practice and theory has been recognized as one of Calgary's Top 40 Under 40 business leaders. She is the only Canadian to be awarded CASE's prestigious Warwick Award for her Outstanding Master's Thesis and is known for securing one of the largest gifts in Canadian history given to a post-secondary college.

She is also a sought after speaker in advancement and is an alumna of the CASE faculty since 1999. Focused on enhancing the Advancement profession, she provides strategic counsel to AdvanceU clients to maximize their potential in raising dollars and awareness. Pommashea holds a master's degree in business administration, with distinction, from Athabasca University.

Patrick Estey, MA, CFRE, Senior Consultant


Patrick has over 10 years of fund development experience ranging from major gifts, annual giving, event management, sponsorship, and fundraising campaign management. He has held leadership roles in post-secondary institutions including the University of British Columbia & SAIT Polytechnic. With a passion for the community and health, Patrick has held senior level fundraising positions at the United Way, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and the Alzheimer Society of B.C. Most recently as Director, Resource Development. As part of the executive team, he oversaw a team of 17 fundraisers divided into Gifts & Events. During his tenure, Patrick met and exceeded the Society’s annual revenue budget of $6 million and successfully executed 9 events annually with combined revenues of over 2 million.

Patrick is a dedicated and passionate fund development professional, who believes strongly in innovative, and sustainable fundraising programs. Patrick’s diverse set of front-line fundraising, event management and development operations skills allows him the ability to lead comprehensive and integrated fundraising plans.

Patrick has completed a Masters in Philanthropy & Development, providing increased knowledge and skill to his profession. Paired with a Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) designation, he is ready to take on challenges and maximize revenue generation for non-profits.
